Since October 18, 2016, employees who are active in moving loads in the (petro) chemical industry independently must comply on the certification of Moving loads with manual lifting equipment or fixing and Guiding Loads instead of the former certification.

For whom?

Employees who guide loads by using dynamic lifting equipment (crane) which is operated by a crane operator.
- For simple load movements with a crane
- If there is a load transfer and a position for placing the load in an installation or object
- If is necessary to guide the load during transfer
- In case of “out of sight” lifting movements
- In case a lifting area must be cleared
- When employees need support during the movement of loads with hand lifting tools

Theoretical/practical

- Communication
- Last Minute Risk Analysis (LMRA)
- Hand- and arm signals
- Working with a load chart
- Using lifting equipment
- Inspecting lifting equipment
- Safety and working conditions
- Fixing and moving loads with a crane
- “Out of sight” lifting movements
- Practical advices

Results

A theoretical and practical assessment will be taken at the end of the course. The participant will receive a diploma if the assessments are completed successfully. This diploma has a validity of 5 years.

Duration

2 or 3 days, depending on the experience of the student.
